City of Leduc

Leduc is a vibrant city of more than 28,500 citizens next door to the Edmonton International Airport along Highway 2 and 15 minutes south of Edmonton. Leduc’s average five-year growth rate is 5.8 per cent, and from 2006 to 2014 this city grew by more than 11,600 residents (68 per cent). The pride of the city is the new Leduc Recreation Centre (LRC) which has three NHL-size rinks, two field houses, an aquatic complex, a state-of-the-art fitness facility, an eight-rink curling complex, a four-lane running / walking track and a full complement of recreational programming. The LRC is one of Alberta’s largest and newest (2009) recreational centres, and increasingly hosts provincial and national sports tournaments. Visitors are encouraged to experience Leduc’s 46 kilometres of paved ‘multiway’ trails as well as William F. Lede Park by Telford Lake. Leduc and area also offer numerous golf courses, a ski hill and other lakes for water sports.
